What is the best type of lens or filter for portrait photography?
I have friends asking me to take their pregnancy pictures. I have a Fuji Finepix S700. I am able to attach 46mm lens or filters to it. I am looking to do either glamour shot style or magazine style portraits. Sorry if this has been asked before but I could not find an answer anywhere!
Portrait lenses are usually a bit longer … 75mm to 105mm. The longer length helps create a smaller depth of field…meaning that the person will be in focus, while the subject is in focus. Additionally a wider aperature f/4 or less will help decrease depth of field.
